For a successful reply to market, Textra intends to be a partner and ideal expert for the main beachwear manufacturers with its personal mix of creativity, made in Italy, know-how and digital technologies, historical archives, long service tradition in printed fabric fieldmarket.


1965: A new line of knitted fabric for outwear – with a 28/32 and 36 yarn fineness, made by circular Jersey and Interlock knitting machines. B.P.S. invests in the creation of a model printing-plant equipped with flat-bed tables for screen printing, industrial machines and different finishing processes.

1968: In the new founded knitwear factory P.R.I.M.A. Dr. Rinaldo Pozzi’s continuous ideas are supported by his sons, Antonio and Francesco.

1978: Company TEXTRA – acronymous of TEXtiles/exTRA – is established with the mission of selling elastic printed fabric for swimwear, beachwear, sportswear, dance and fitness.

1995: Agreements for the production re-location are established in the USA.

2003: A sales office is open in Shenzen, CHINA.

2008: The Joint venture allows the productive investment for printing and dyeing (Jiaxing / Zhejiang ), CHINA

2012: setting up of Textra Trading based in Jiaxing,Zhejiang, China

Since its foundation by Mr. Francesco Pozzi, TEXTRA creates collections of elastic printed fabric which are increasingly exported in all countries of the world where Italian fabrics are highly appreciated.

The success is guaranteed by a strong team-spirit which is based on Creativity, productive and commercial ideas.

In 2015, there is a generational shift from Eng. Francesco Pozzi to his daughter Chiara Gaia Pozzi, who becomes CEO after 8 years of deep training in Sampling, Production, Quality Control, Sales and Accounts.

TEXTRA doesn’t forget that the secrets of its success lie on the tradition which, for more than 65 years, has granted the continuity of family’s textile culture in the beachwear sector.
